O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed challenging the order dated 30.04.2025 passed by the first respondent, thereby suspending the petitioner from service.
2. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.
3.The petitioner had entered into Tamil Nadu Government Service as a Government servant on 06.01.2010 and he was working as an Additional Treasury Officer at Sub-Treasury, Palacode, Dharmapuri District. While being so, an FIR in Crime No.1/AC/2025 has been registered against the petitioner, alleging that the petitioner had demanded a sum of Rs.10,000/- as a bribe to disburse the complainant's mother's retirement benefits. Thereafter, the petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody. Therefore, the petitioner was deemed to be suspended from service 2/5
from 30.04.2025. Now, the petitioner is challenging the order of suspension on the ground of prolonged suspension, that the suspension order cannot be continued for more than three months.

The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, states that in order to consider the prolonged suspension and also the person who involved in the Vigilance and AntiCorruption cases, the Government passed a Government Order in G.O.Ms.81, Human Resources Department, dated 04.08.2022. Thereafter, the petitioner also submitted a representation dated 30.09.2025 and it is pending on the file of the first respondent.

In view of the above, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation dated 30.09.2025 submitted by the petitioner to re-visit the order of suspension in the light of the said G.O.Ms.81, Human Resources Department, dated 04.08.2022, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
