ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(C), 4(1)(A) and 14(A) of TNP Act in Crime No.449 of 2024, registered on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

The case of the prosecution is that on 17.08.2025 based on a secret information, the respondent police went near GRP Street, they found that the petitioner along with other accused was in illegal possession of banned other state liquor bottles [130 bottles of Blue Grape Brandy (each 90 ml)]; that on seeing the police, the petitioner fled away from the scene of occurrence and the respondent police arrested A1. Hence, this case. 3.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case and the petitioner is ready to abide by any condition that may be imposed by this Court and sought for anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for 2/4

the respondent while opposing the anticipatory bail to the petitioner reiterated the prosecution case and stated that there are totally two accused involved in this case and the petitioner is arrayed as A2; that the petitioner has 29 previous cases; and that the investigation is pending. 5.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the nature of offence, the previous antecedents of the petitioner and the investigation of this case is pending, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
