Respondents PRAYER: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to forthwith
consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.04.2025 thereby to intervene into the matter of removal of the existing EB Pole and shifting the electric lines which is running over the petitioner's house site measuring 22,653 sq.ft. bearing No.614 in Humming Gardend, Kealmbakkam District. This writ petition has been filed, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.04.2025, thereby to intervene into the matter of removal of the existing EB pole and shifting the electric lines which is running over the petitioner's house site.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the property situated at Thaiyur B Village, Thirporur in Survey No.35 measuring an extent of 2198,05 sq.ft, and having purchased the same vide sale deed dated 10.02.2023. The petitioner noticed an electric pole in the schedule premises and requested the vendor to remove the pole, as was promised at the time of execution of sale deed. Since the vendor failed to act, the petitioner sent a representation dated 15.04.2025 to the respondents seeking removal of electric pole stating that it poses a constant life threat to the petitioner as well as
other residents. But the same was not considered till date. Hence the present writ petition has been filed.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation within a reasonable time.
4. The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that they will consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders within a reasonable time as fixed by this Court. 5.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the t respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.04.2025 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order,
