ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction to respondents No.1 and 2 to unfreeze the petitioner's accounts with the 3rd respondent in Account No.31563914526, 61070794982, 20003354276 and with the 4th respondent in Account No.10526203920 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 08.09.2025, within the period as stipulated by this Court.

The petitioner is an accused in a criminal case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 406, 420 r/w 34 of IPC. Now investigation has been completed and final report has been filed, pursuant to which the same has been taken cognizance by the trial court in CC.No.504 of 2025 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate-I, Poonamallee and it is pending for trial. That apart, on perusal of the charge, it is

revealed that the petitioner and others had cheated the general public to the tune of Rs.1,20,00,000/-. The second respondent specifically alleged that the crime proceeds have been deposited in the aforementioned bank accounts of the petitioner. Therefore, till the completion of trial, the present prayer cannot be considered. As such, this writ petition is liable to be dismissed.

In view of the above discussion, this writ petition is dismissed. However, the trial court is directed to complete the trial within a period of six months from the date of receipt of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
