ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 12.08.2025, for the offences punishable under sections 294(b), 435 of IPC in Crime No.948 of 2017, registered on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2.The petitioner is facing trial in C.C.No.1085 of 2025 on the file of XV Metropolitan Magistrate Court, GT Chennai. He has not co-operated with the process of trial. Hence NBW was issued against him on 20.03.2024 and the petitioner was absconding for more than a year and NBW was executed on 12.08.2025 and he was remanded to judicial custody on the same day.

3. This Court dismissed the earlier application filed by the petitioner in Crl.O.P.No.26051 of 2025 dated 22.09.2025 on the following reasons: "The petitioner was absent for nearly 1 1⁄2 years and the case is also posted for examination of witnesses and further this Court has noted that this case is of the year 2021."

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that even after the dismissal of his petition, there has been no progress in the trial proceedings. Hence, he prayed for bail to the petitioner.

5. I have also gone through the earlier order, and this Court dismissed the bail application filed by this petitioner on 22.09.2025. This petition was filed on 10.10.2025. This Court find there is no change of circumstances in this case, and thus, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
