Respondent Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to dispose of the representation dated 26.09.2025 addressed to the Respondent requesting the Respondent to re- examine all the documents uploaded by the petitioner pursuant to the public notice dated 23.07.2025 issued by the Respondent for being considered under the quota reserved for persons who studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM)Candidates for writing the written examination for the post of Assistant Professor by giving an opportunity to the petitioner to rectify deficiency, if any, in the documents uploaded by the petitioner for proving that the petitioner has studied standard I to Post Graduation in Tamil Medium for being considered under the 1/4
persons who studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM) category for writing the written examination for the post of Assistant Professor in Tamil Nadu Collegiate Educational service for Government Arts and Science college and Government colleges of education for the year 2024- 2025 having secured 178 marks in the Tamil Nadu State level Eligibility Test (TNSET)- 2024 held by the Respondent. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 26.09.2025 and dispose of the same.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.
3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 26.09.2025, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and 2/4
pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
