ORDER

The petitioners, who apprehend arrest by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(aaa), 4(1-A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act r/w 4(1)(A) of Tamilnadu Prohibition (Amendment) Act 2024 and 14A of Tamilnadu Prohibition Act, in Crime No.228 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. Earlier, this Court dismissed the bail petition filed by the petitioner in Crl.OP.No.21948 of 2025 by order dated 12.09.2025 on the ground that the contraband involved in illegal transportation of 270 litres of ID arrack without any valid license.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that subsequent to the dismissal of the earlier petition, two accused persons A1 and A2 were released on bail on 13.09.2025. Hence, he contended that there is a change in circumstances.

4. Considering the fact that the contraband involved is of huge

quantity, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Since there is no change in circumstances established before this Court to revisit the earlier order.
