O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a mandamus, to direct the first respondent to re-employ the petitioner till 31.05.2005 and grant him all consequential benefits.

The case of the petitioner is that he was initially appointed as a primary school Head Master on 01.10.1966 at Government Adi Dravidar Welfare Primary School, Melanathapakkam in Walaja Taluk, Vellore District. On 05.09.2001, he was promoted as High School Head Master, Government Adi Dravidar Welfare High School, Anaikatti, Vellore District. He was transferred to Government Adi Dravidar Welfare High School, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Perumugai in Vellore Taluk, Vellore District on 09.01.2002 and was working there till his date of retirement on 30.06.2004. 3.Since, the date of retirement fell in the middle of the academic year i.e. 30.06.2004, the petitioner made a representation to the Commissioner and Director, Adi Dravidar Welfare Department, Chepauk, Chennai on 05.05.2004 to re-employ him till the end of the academic year i.e., 31.05.2005. The request for re-employment has not been considered by the first respondent.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is entitled for his re-employment till the academic year i.e. till 31.05.2005. However, he restricted his prayer to dispose of the representation made by him, in view of the subsequent judgment rendered by this Court. Accordingly, the petitioner is permitted to make a representation before the authorities concerned and based on the representation made by the petitioner, the authorities may consider the same.

5.With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
