Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to dispose of the temple's appeal dated 29.08.2016 under section 12 of Patta Pass Book Act and further direct the respondents to restore the patta in the name of Sri Muthukumara Swamy Devasthanam SF.No.144/1 (TSLR.No.105, 106) at Block No.35, Kodungaiyur Village, Perambaur Taluk, Chennai within a stipulated time period fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to dispose of the temple's appeal dated 29.08.2016 under section 12 of Patta Pass Book Act and to further direct the respondents to restore the patta in the name of Sri Muthukumara Swamy Devasthanam SF.No.144/1 (TSLR.No.105, 106) at Block No.35, Kodungaiyur Village, Perambaur Taluk, Chennai within a stipulated time period fixed by this Court. 2.

Heard, the learned counsel appearing on either side. 3.

Without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, the respondent is directed to consider the temple's appeal dated 29.08.2016 and, after issuance of notice to the petitioners and counter parties, if there are, and giving them opportunity of personal hearing, to pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of this order. 2/4

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
