The petitioner, who is the accused in Crime No.11 of 2024, has filed this petition stating that he has been falsely implicated in the case. He further submits that due to the pendency of the said case, his service has been adversely affected. He has been kept under suspension pending investigation. Though the case was registered on 02.10.2024, even after about 371 days, the investigation has not yet been completed, and the petitioner has been deprived of his employment prospects.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the petitioner is working as a Surveyor attached to the Bhuvanagiri Taluk Office. It is alleged that while processing a patta application for measurement, subdivision, and issuance, the petitioner demanded a bribe of Rs.5,000/-. Subsequently, a trap was laid, and the trap proceedings were successful. The petitioner was arrested and placed under suspension. The trap was conducted on 04.10.2023, and the investigation now completed. The charge sheet filed through e-filing on 25.10.2025, and the case has been taken on file as Spl.C.C.No.116 of 2025 by the learned Principal District Judge / Special Judge, Cuddalore. The case is posted for the appearance of the petitioner on 27.11.2025.

3. It is seen that the investigation has been completed, the charge 2/4

sheet filed, and the case taken on file. Hence, nothing survives for further adjudication.

4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
