praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.05.2025 consequently direct the respondents not to proceed the acquisition proceedings with respect to the petitioner's property in S.No.154/8A in Emappar Village, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District.

ORDER

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.05.2025 consequently direct the respondents not to proceed the acquisition proceedings with respect to the petitioner's property in S.No.154/8A in Emappar Village, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District.

2. Mr.G.Velu, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of respondents. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the agricultural land in 2/6

S.No.154/8A in Emapper Village, admeasuring 0.19.50 ares belongs to petitioner. The respondents herein trying to acquire about 0.03.20 ares from the aforesaid land, for the purpose of providing pathway to five persons, who were constructed houses in an agricultural land without obtaining any permission from the local body or any other competent authorities. Therefore, the petitioner sent a representation dated 12.05.2025 to the second respondent, seeking not to proceed the acquisition proceedings in respect of subject property. However, the said representation was not considered, as on date. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.

4. Though many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.05.2025

5. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 3/6

12.05.2025 would be considered and appropriate orders passed, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

7. Considering the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.05.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. 28.10.2025 vm Speaking/Non-speaking order Index : Yes / No 4/6
