ORDER
This writ petition has been filed, seeking for a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.04.2025 and to take appropriate action to cancel the alleged patta No.1214 issued by the third respondent.
2. Eventhough the aforesaid relief has been sought for by the petitioner, the learned counsel for the petitioner on instructions would submit that it would suffice if a direction is issued by this Court to the second respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, which is pending on the file of the second respondent within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
3. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if such a direction as
sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner is granted.
4. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's appeal.
5. Since no adverse orders are passed against the private respondents in this writ petition, there is no necessity for the private respondents to file a counter.
6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 12.04.2025 aggrieved by the issuance of patta in favour of the private respondents for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, connected writ miscellaneous petition is closed. While issuing the order copy, the Registry is directed to mention the name of Ms. Meenakshi Eswaran as counsel for R4.
