Respondent(s) PRAYER; This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st Respondent to accept the surrender of lease pursuant to the representation application of the petitioner submitted on 26.02.2022 and pass orders to that effect with regard to the lease for quarrying grey granite in the patta land bearing S.F. Nos.128/1A and 129/2A and 25/1B ad-measuring 2.20.5 Hectares in Nagampatti Village, Pochampalli Taluk, Krishnagiri District within the time frame fixed by this Honble Court.

ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st Respondent to accept the surrender of lease pursuant to the representation application of the petitioner submitted on 26.02.2022 and pass orders to that effect with regard to the lease for quarrying grey granite in the patta land bearing S.F. Nos.128/1A and 129/2A and 25/1B ad-measuring 2.20.5 Hectares in Nagampatti Village, Pochampalli Taluk, Krishnagiri District.

It is the case of the petitioner that pursuant to the quarry lease application dated 12.02.2007 the first respondent granted to the petitioner a quarry lease for quarrying grey granite from the petitioner's patta land bearing S.F.Nos.128/1A, 129/2A and 25/1B ad-measuring 2.20.0 Hectares in Nagampatti Village, Pochampalli Taluk, Krishnagiri District for a period of 20 years under Rule 19A of the Tamil Nadu Minor Mineral Concession Rules. Lease deed was executed for a period of 20 years from 18.03.2008 to 17.03.2028. The petitioner submitted the representation for surrendering the lease to the first respondent through the respondents 2 & 3 on 26.02.2022 and 29.09.2025. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioners
representation dated 26.02.2022 and 29.09.2025 within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
5. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 26.02.2022 and 29.09.2025 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
