Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to update the revenue entries in the revenue records and in the online maintaining by the respondents herein based on the assignment proceedings of the second respondent dated 01.11.2007 in HSD.No.1297/1417 and by considering the representation of the petitioner herein dated 07.07.2025 thereby mutate the name of the petitioner regarding the house site property comprised in Ward No.A, Block No.10, S.No.1, Plot No.1/40 at 52, Hasthampatti Village and Taluk, Salem, within the time fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to mutate the name of the petitioner in the revenue records based on the assignment granted in favour of the petitioner by the second respondent through proceedings dated 01.11.2007 with respect to the subject property.

2. Heard Mr.R.Nalliyappan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3. When the matter came up for hearing today, learned Special Government Pleader produced the instructions received from the Tahsilar, Salem. It is seen from the said representation that the Revenue Department is already in the process of issuance of patta and therefore, they have sought for some time. 2/4

4. In the light of the above development, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 07.07.2025 and do the needful, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
