ORDER
The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 26.08.2025, for the offences punishable under Sections 274, 275, 123 of BNS and U/s.24(1) of Cigarette And Other Tobacco Products Acts, 2003 in Crime No.574 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

The case of the prosecution is that on 26.08.2025 at about 08:00a.m., while the respondent police were on their routine patrol duty near Kannabiram Temple street, Madhavaram, they found that the petitioner along with other accused was involved in illegal possession of 10 kilograms of Mava for the purpose of illegal sales. Hence, this case. 3.
The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case and he is in judicial custody since 26.08.2025. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court and sought for bail to the petitioner.

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent while opposing the bail to the petitioner, reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that petitioner has 13 previous cases; and that the investigation of this case is still pending. 5.
Considering the facts, quantity of contraband involved in this case, the previous antecedents of the petitioner and taking note of the fact that the investigation of this case is still pending, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands dismissed. 16.10.2025 stn 3/4
