ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Respondents to

refund the Security deposit for a total sum of Rs.4,88,688/- existing in S.C. Nos.240-008-342, 240-008-404, 240-008-726, 240-008-381, 240-088-402, 240008-325 based upon the petitioners representation dated 05.08.2025.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is the owner of the property situated at No.48, VOC Street, Kaikanjiyamkuppam, Valasaravakkam, Chennai in which there exists 6 service connections in S.C.Nos. 240-008-342, 240-008-404, 240-008-726, 240-008-381, 240-088-402, 240-008-325. The said service connection were closed based on the representation given by the petitioner. Based on the same, the petitioner made several representations including the representation dated 05.08.2025 to the respondent seeking refund of the security amount. But the respondent has not considered the same. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

5. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 05.08.2025 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
