ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents, particularly, the third respondent to act upon the petitioner's representation dated 07.10.2025 wherein the petitioner is seeking issuance of patta with respect to the subject property.

2. Heard Mr.K.Karuppaiyamooppanar, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.S.Rajesh, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the property was originally owned by his grandmother and she executed a Will in the year 1990 in favour of the petitioner and his brother. On her demise, they became owners of the subject property. Thereafter, there was an oral partition and the brother of the petitioner was also died in the year 2002. The petitioner is enjoying the property as the absolute owner thereafter. The petitioner had sent a representation to third respondent seeking issuance of patta with respect to the subject property. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed. 2/4

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to third respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 07.10.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If there are any other interested parties, they shall be put on notice before final orders are passed. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
