The petitioners herein apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(3) of Tamil Nadu Gaming and Police Laws Act, 1930 ( Amendment 2021) read with Section 318(4) of BNS (420 of IPC) in Crime No.305 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner joining hands with other accused involved in gambling activities and cheated the defacto complainant. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that, the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that, apart from this case, petitioner has 6 2/4

previous cases. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original petition is dismissed. 17.10.2025 sma K.RAJASEKAR, J.
