ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent to release the compensation sanctioned to the petitioner through the government proceeding dated 13.03.2015.
2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's son died in a road accident on 17.01.2013. Thereafter, the Government of Tamil Nadu has awarded a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) as compensation to the petitioner from the Chief Minister's Accident Relief Fund vide order dated 13.03.2015 and the same was forwarded by the Deputy Commissioner of Police/second respondent to the Collector, Singaravelar Maligai/first respondent. However, till date the first respondent did not disburse the said amount to the petitioner. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
3.The learned counsel for the respondents would submit that the first respondent would disburse the sum of Rs.1,00,000/- to the petitioner, within a period as fixed by this Court.
4.Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
5.On a perusal of the order dated 13.03.2015, which was forwarded by the second respondent to the first respondent, in the reference column, it is seen that, the petitioner herein has been awarded a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- as compensation, since her son died in a road accident. Hence, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to implement the order dated 13.03.2015 and thereby, disburse the compensation of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees one Lakh only) to the petitioner, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
