ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to direct the 2 nd respondent Sub- Registrar to register the decree passed in O.S.No.847 of 2018 on the file of the XVI Additional Judge, City Civil Court Chennai (Through National Lok Adalat proceedings) dated 10.06.2023, based on the petitioner's Registration No.REG 202503202493154 dated 20.03.2025.

2.Mr.Abishek Murthy, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner intend to register the decree passed in O.S.No.847 of 2018 on the file of the XVI Additional Judge, City Civil Court Chennai (Through National Lok Adalat proceedings) dated 10.06.2023 and he presented the same before the 2 nd respondent. He would further submit that the petitioner had also paid the registration charge of Rs.2,27,204/- and a token number was also issued to the petitioner. However, the 2 nd respondent had neither registered the said decree dated 10.06.2023 nor refused to register the same. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

4.Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that though the petitioner states that token number has been issued to the

petitioner for registration, according to the 2 nd respondent no such document was presented before him and if the document is presented, the same will be registered, if it is otherwise in order.

5.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents. 6.Considering the submissions made by either parties, this Court is of the view that as rightly contended by the learned Government Advocate, the refusal will come into picture only when the sale deed is presented and same got rejected through the refusal check slip in writing. In the present case, though the petitioner submits that token number was issued for registration, according to nd respondent the document was not presented for registration till date. the 2 Hence, the petitioner is directed to present the decree dated 10.06.2023 for nd respondent shall consider the same for registration and in such case, the 2 registration in accordance with law.
