PRAYER; This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the written representation of the petitioners dated 24.09.2025 and consequently inquire into the affairs, working and financial condition of the 2nd respondent, facilitate the conduct of the Extra Ordinary General Meeting of the 2nd respondent as per its Bye Laws.

ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the written representation of the petitioners dated 24.09.2025 and consequently inquire into the affairs, working and financial condition of the 2nd respondent, facilitate the conduct of the Extra Ordinary General Meeting of the 2nd respondent as per its Bye Laws.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioners are the members of the second respondent i.e. Coimbatore Malayali Samajam which was established in the year 1956 and registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Act 1975. As per its Bye laws, the society was formed for, amongst other things, to work for the educational, cultural, artistic and social advancement of Malayalies residing in the city of Coimbatore. Such being the position, the petitioner made a representation to the first respondent on 27.06.2025 highlighting the irregularities committed by the second respondent and requesting to take appropriate action in this regard. The same is not considered. Hence, the present writ petition.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent submitted that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.
5. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record. Since no adverse order is passed against the second respondent, notice to the second respondent is dispensed with.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 24.09.2025 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. 28-10-2025 rli
