Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider their representation dated 26.09.2025 and thereby consequently direct the respondents to refix their pay factor from 2.44 to 2.57 to the promoted / appointed / redesignated in Supervisory cadre from 01.01.2016 to 31.08.2019 in pursuance of the committee report dated 12.02.2024 constituted by the 1st respondent in G.O. This Writ Petition is filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider their representation dated 26.09.2025 and thereby consequently direct the respondents to refix their pay factor from 2.44 to 2.57 to the promoted / appointed / redesignated in Supervisory cadre from 01.01.2016 to 31.08.2019 in pursuance of the committee report dated 12.02.2024 constituted by the 1st respondent in G.O. (D) No.1, Transport (C1) Department dated 03.01.2024. 2/5

2. The case of the petitioners is that they have been rendering their services in the respondent Corporation for more than three decades. (Petitioners 5 and 8 attained the age of superannuation on 31.03.2025 and 30.04.2024, respectively). The grievance of the petitioners is that, subsequent to their promotion to the supervisory cadre, they have been granted a pay factor of 2.44, whereas their juniors as well as seniors are receiving a pay factor of 2.57. Aggrieved by this anomaly, the petitioners submitted a representation to the respondents on 26.09.2025, but the same has not been considered till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited prayer sought for by the petitioners, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 26.09.2025 in the light of the committee's report dated 12.02.2024 constituted by the 1st Respondent in G.O. (D) No. 1, Transport (C1) Department dated 03.01.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with 3/5

law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
