Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 to conduct survey of petitioner's land comprised in S.No.182/2B and 1828/6B and 182/8B measuring 1 acre 33 cents situated at Arumbakkam Village, Arakkonam Taluk, Ranipet District along with laying boundary stone and demarcating the boundaries with barbed wire with the assistance of the 5th Respondent based on online application dated 03.09.2025 bearing application No.2025/0123/37/005068 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 to act upon the online application submitted by the petitioners on 03.09.2025 wherein the petitioners are seeking for survey of the subject property and for demarcation of boundaries.

2. Heard Mr.P.Veeraraghavan, learned counsel for petitioners, 2/4

Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 to 4 and Mr.L.Baskaran, learned Government Advocate [Crl.side] appearing for fifth respondent.

3. The case of the petitioners is that the property was settled in favour of one Sarojammal, who is the mother of petitioners and she died on 14.07.2018 leaving behind the petitioners and other legal heirs. The patta in Patta Nos.1615 & 1631 stands in the name of petitioners and other legal heirs. The petitioners submitted an online application to the second respondent on 03.09.2025 seeking survey of the subject property and for demarcation of boundaries. Since the same was not acted upon the present petition has been filed.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, this Court directs the second respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioners on 03.09.2025 and conduct survey based on the title document and patta that stands in the names of the petitioners and other legal heirs. If there are any other interested parties, such survey shall be N.ANAND VENKATESH, J.

gm conducted in their presence. If required, it is left open to take police aid from the fifth respondent. This process shall be completed within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
