th respondent / the This writ petition has been filed to direct the 5 Superintendent of Police, Mayiladuthurai to consider the representation of the 2/5

petitioner dated 06.09.2025 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that the petitioner has given a complaint on 06.09.2025 alleging that the respondents 8 and 9 have encroached upon the temple land. The petitioner has simultaneously approached the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department where enquiry is pending. While so, based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 06.09.2025, the respondent Police conducted enquiry in CSR No.175 of 2025 and during enquiry, the petitioner as well as respondents 8 and 9 have given an undertaking that they would approach the HR & CE Department to resolve their dispute. Recording the same, CSR No.175 of 2025 has been closed on 23.09.2025. Hence, the present petition has become infructuous.

3. Since the representation of the petitioner dated 06.09.2025 has been considered by the respondent Police, this writ petition stands closed. No costs. 3/5
