No.618 of 2025. 2.The cases in C.C.Nos.

214, 48, 50, 51, 52, 237, 205, 210, 238, 268, 239, 209 of 2023, 27, 28 of 2025, 144, 191, 200 of 2023, 62, 67 of 2025 and STC.No.148 of 2023 and STC.No.18 of 2025 was taken on the file of the District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Thirukkuvalai, Thirukkuvalai Taluk, Nagapattinam for the alleged offence under Section 4 (1) (aaa) or 4(1)(aaa) and 4(1)(d) of TN Prohibition Act as the case may be. In all these cases, the accused alleged to have been in possession of 110 liters of illicit Page No.

arrack with an intention to sell without any bar license. There is no previous or subsequent case pending against the accused. 3.Considering the factual matrix, context of the case, the reason for absence from his usual place, and the submission that, despite best efforts, warrant/summons could not be executed/served as the case may be, it is evident that even if the accused is brought to face trial, it would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial. Due to the passage of time, a meaningful trial is unlikely, and no useful purpose would be served. 4.Accordingly, the cases in C.C.Nos. 214, 48, 50, 51, 52, 237, 205, 210, 238, 268, 239, 209 of 2023, 27, 28 of 2025, 144, 191, 200 of 2023, 62, 67 of 2025 and STC.No.148 of 2023 and STC.No.18 of 2025 of District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Thirukkuvalai, Thirukkuvalai Taluk, Nagapattinam stands quashed. These Suo Motu Transfer Cases are disposed of.

16.10.2025 mp electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
