Respondent Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for records sequel to the proceedings bearing number Na.Ka.En.348/A1/OPAKA/2025 dated 07.08.2025 issued by the respondent and to quash the same and consequently direct the respondents not to transfer the petitioner from Annur Block to karamadai Block. This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order dated 07.08.2025 passed by the respondent, thereby deputed the petitioner from Annur Block to Karamadai Block, Coimbatore District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner joined as a Block Resource Teacher Educator at Ooty Block, Nilgiris District on 26.09.2008. On 24.07.2025, he was transferred to Annur Block, Coimbatore District, through counseling. While being so, by the impugned order dated 07.08.2025, the petitioner has been further transferred to Karamadai Block, Coimbatore District.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that within a short span of eleven days from his earlier transfer, the petitioner has again been transferred, for the reasons best known to the respondent.

5. On instructions, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the order impugned in this writ petition in not a transfer order, but an order of deputation. It was further submitted that the petitioner has been deputed to Karamadai Block due to administrative exigencies and existing vacancies. In the Karamadai Block, there are eleven posts, in which 2/4

only six posts are filled up and five posts are lying vacant. Hence, in order to balance the staff strength, the petitioner has been deputed to Karamadai Block, which is only a temporary arrangement made to fill the staff gap.

6. In view of the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader and considering the fact that the impugned order is only a temporary deputation made to meet the administrative exigency and staff shortage, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the same.

7. In view of the above observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
