Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 and 3 to consider the Petitioner CAS promotion at all levels (Academic level 12 to Stage 13A and Academic level 13A to Academic level 14) as per UGC Regulation 2016 in the light of the order made in W.P. No. 4691 of 2022 passed by the Hon'ble High Court of Judicature at Bombay Bench at Arunangabad within the time limit may be stipulated by this Honble Court.

O R D E R
This Writ Petition is filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing respondents 2 and 3 to consider the petitioner's promotion under the Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) from Academic Level 12 to Academic Level 13A and from Academic Level 13A to Academic Level 14, as per the UGC Regulations, 2016, in the light of the order passed by the Hon'ble High Court of Judicature at Bombay, Bench at Aurangabad, in W.P. No. 4691 of 2022, within such time as may be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court
2. The case of the petitioner is that she was appointed as a Lecturer on 20.07.2005 in the Department of Biochemistry, Periyar University, Salem and has rendered about 20 years of sincere service. Her grievance is that, though she became eligible for promotion from Assistant Professor (stage 3) to Associate Professor (Stage 4), the same has not been granted to her. In this regard, she submitted representations to respondents 1 and 2 on 2/5
03.10.2025 and to the 3rd respondent on 06.10.2025 but the same have not been considered. Hence, this Writ Petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the material available on record.
4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited prayer sought by the petitioner, the respondents 2 and 3 are directed to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 03.10.2025 and 06.10.2025 respectively and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not made any observation with regard to the merits or claims of the petitioner.
