ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the 1 st respondent to act upon the application submitted by the

petitioners on 29.09.2025 wherein the petitioner is seeking for the survey of the subject property and for demarcation of boundaries. 2.

Heard Mr.P.Krishnan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader for 1 st respondent and Mr.L.BAskaran, learned Government Advocate[Crl. Side] for 2 nd respondent.

The case of the petitioners is that they are the owners of the subject properties and they are tracing their title under a registered Settlement deed dated 17.06.1957 and they claimed to be the legal heirs of the original owners. Their names have also been included in the Permanent land register . The petitioners submitted an application on 29.09.2025 by paying the necessary charges seeking for the survey of the subject property and for laying the boundary stones. Since the same was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 1 st respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioners on 29.09.2025 and to conduct the survey in the subject property based on the title document and the permanent land register and complete the process within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If there are any other interested parties, such survey shall be conducted in their presence.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
