Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to conduct a proper enquiry by considering the petitioners' representations dated 26.08.2021, 13.08.2025 respectively and issue Patta in the name of the petitioners for the properties situated in Survey No.688/17, 686/19, 686/20, 686/23 (Old Survey No.119C/15) Kuthalam Town, Mayiladuthurai District, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court and pass orders. ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to conduct proper enquiry based on the representations made by the petitioners on 26.08.2021 and 13.08.2025 and issue patta in the name of the petitioners with respect to the subject property.
2. Heard Mr.Dinesh Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of 2/5
respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.K.Karthikeyan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the fourth respondent.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 and learned Government Advocate appearing for the fourth respondent submitted that, already orders have been passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Mayiladuthurai, through proceedings dated 19.09.2025, rejecting the claim made by the petitioners. A copy of the order was also placed before this Court.
4. In the light of the above development, no further orders can be passed by this Court in this writ petition. If the petitioners are aggrieved, it is left open to the petitioners to work out their remedy in the manner known to law.
