ORDER
This writ petition has been filed, directing the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 26.08.2025.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he is a resident of Tower Street, located along Minjur Outer Ring Road, Service Road, Prakash Nagar, Nemilicherry, Thiruvallur District. The street consists of around 20 residential houses, ten on either side, each measuring approximately 40 x 60 feet. A highvoltage electricity transmission tower is situated in the middle of Tower Street, which obstructs the free movement of four-wheeler vehicles. As a result, only two-wheelers and pedestrians regularly use the road. The residents' daily requirements are already met through the main roads and service roads established by the Highway Department, which connect their street to the larger road network. The respondents are now proposing to construct a sub-road from the highway into this narrow residential lane.
The proposed sub-road is designed to accommodate heavy vehicle traffic, but it terminates at Tower Street without any further connectivity. The creation of such a road will invite unauthorised access by strangers and likely turn into for anti-social elements, as it neither facilitates through traffic nor benefits local residents.
petitioner along with other residents sent a detailed representation dated 26.08.2025 to the respondents requesting cancellation of the proposed sub road. However, the same was not considered till date. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation within a reasonable time.

The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that they will consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders within a reasonable time as fixed by this Court. 5.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.08.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law , within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
