The petitioners, who apprehend arrest by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 4(1)(C) and Section 24 of TNP (Amendment) Act, 2024 in Crime No.147 of 2025 seek anticipatory bail. 2.The allegation against the petitioners is that they were involved in 1/5

supplying liquor. It is alleged that the first petitioner was running a liquor bar along with the other accused within the jurisdiction of the respondent police, and during a raid conducted by the respondent police, 24 bottles of illicit liquor were seized from the spot. Hence, the complaint. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are innocent and they have been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that they are ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that there are totally four accused in this case and the petitioners are ranked as A2 and A3. He further submitted that the co-accused was arrested and released on bail. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

6. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, the fact that the petitioners have no previous case against them and that the co-accused was released on bail, this Court is inclined to grant 2/5

anticipatory bail to the petitioners, subject to certain conditions.

7. Accordingly, the petitioners are ordered to be released on anticipatory bail in the event of arrest or on their appearance, within a period of fifteen (15) days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tambaram, on condition that the petitioners shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand Only), each with two sureties, each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the respondent police or the police officer who intends to arrest or to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate concerned and on further condition that:
