ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction upon the 4th respondent to grant permission to the petitioner and others to participate in Maha Kandha Sasthi Festival and to adorn traditional attire in the said festival to be held on 27.10.2025 in Arulmigu Sri Sivasubramaniya Swamy Temple, Melapulam, Pudur, Ranipet District by considering his representation dated 07.10.2025.

2. Mr.S.Ravichandran, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. With the consent of the learned counsel for the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that on 07.10.2025 he along with Page No.2 of 5

other devotees have submitted a representation before the 4th respondent seeking permission to participate in the upcoming Maha Kandha Sasthti Festival in Arulmigu Sri Sivasubramaniya Swamy Temple in traditional attire. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed the above writ petition before this Court for appropriate directions.

4. Though very many grounds have been raised in this Writ Petition, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the 4th respondent to grant permission to the petitioner and others to participate in the festival by adorning traditional attire, by considering his representation dated 07.10.2025.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and the learned counsel appearing for the intervenor, on instructions, submitted that they have no objection for the participation of the petitioner and others in the said festival of the said temple. Page No.3 of 5
