ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 01.09.2025 challenging the patta issued in the names of respondents 5 to 10 within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. Heard Mr.K.Govi Ganesan, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.S.Rajesh, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 and 2.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the property in question is an ancestral property, which belongs to the petitioner's father. A suit for partition and for consequential relief was filed before the civil Court. Pending the suit, the second respondent has transferred the patta in the name of the purchasers. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed an appeal before the first respondent on 01.09.2025. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to act upon the appeal filed by the petitioner on 01.09.2025 after affording opportunity to respondents 5 to 10 and pass final orders within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
