ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the proceedings of the second respondent dated 26.02.2025 and for consequential direction to the second respondent to restore the patta with respect to the subject property in the name of the petitioner.

2. Heard Ms.D.Geetha, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Rajesh, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3. The case of the petitioner is that, the patta originally stood in the name of petitioner's wife. Thereafter, the second respondent through proceedings dated 26.02.2025, has cancelled the patta. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner had filed an appeal before the first respondent on 28.03.2025 and the same is pending. In this circumstances, the present petition has been filed challenging the order passed by the second respondent dated 26.02.2025. 2/4

4. In the considered view of this Court, the petitioner has already filed an appeal against the order passed by the second respondent on 26.02.2025. Therefore, it will be more appropriate to direct the first respondent to deal with the appeal and pass final orders within the time frame fixed by this Court.

5. In the light of the above, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the appeal that was filed by the petitioner on 28.03.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 05.11.2025 Index : Yes / No Speaking Order/Non-Speaking Order ds 3/4
