No 6819 of 2023 etc., batch cases, within the time frame fixed by this Honble Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.08.2025 and grant lease for fishing right in Koladi Lake and Ayananmbakkam Lake that comes under the jurisdiction of FMC (I) 95, Koladi Ulnattu Meenavar Co-operative society, Thiruvallur Distrct in pursuance of the order of this Hon'ble Court dated 21.06.2023 made in W.P. no 6819 of 2023 etc batch cases,

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner society is registered under Tamil Nadu cooperative Societies Act. The first respondent has issued G.O.332 dated 17.11.1993 directing the authorities to give first priority in fishing rights to fishermen society. The above G.O.Has been followed till date. The Hon'ble Court, vide order dated 21.06.2023, in W.P.No.6819 of 2023 etc., batch cases, has directed the respondents to give lease of fishing rights to the fishermen cooperative society. In the meanwhile, the Government came forward

to withdraw the said G.O. And issue fresh guidelines and wanted 8 weeks time. The fisheries Department issued fresh guidelines but the WRD Department did not issue fresh guidelines. Hence, the petitioner made a representation on 22.08.2025 to the respondents to implement the order of this Court in WP.No.6819 of 2023 dated 21.06.2023 and the same was not considered. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation made by the petitioner will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed within the reasonable time as fixed by this Court.

5. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 22.08.2025 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
