ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to include the name of the petitioner in the
3/7 counselling held for admission to the All India Medical Council of India under the NRI Quota.
2.When the writ petition came up for hearing on 28.10.2025, this Court passed the following order:
The learned Senior Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 seeks for some time to take instructions from the 3 rd respondent.

The learned Standing counsel appearing on behalf of the 4 th respondent and the learned Senior panel counsel appearing for the 5 th respondent submitted that already the 3 rd round of counselling has been completed insofar as All India quota is concerned and what is left is only the stray round where NRI quota does not find a place.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the NRI quota is available and the same can also be considered during the stray round of counselling.

The learned Senior Standing counsel shall take instructions from the 3 rd respondent.

Post this case under the same caption on 31.10.2025.
3.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Senior Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the 3rd respondent submitted that the application submitted by the petitioner has been rejected on the ground that the petitioner has not produced the family tree depicting the relationship of the sponsor and the candidate and that apart, one document in the regional language has been attached without translation. 4.In the light of the above development, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent to convey the decision to the petitioner, within a period of one week from today.
