ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to change the petitioner's father name in death certificate within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. Mr.S.Gopinathan, learned standing counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondent.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that his father's name has been wrongly mentioned as "S.Mani" instead of "B.Subramani" in the death certificate of his father which came to be issued by the respondent 27.03.2025. In order to rectify the said error, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 07.08.2025 to the respondent. However, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.08.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. On the above contention, this Court heard the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent.

6. In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this

Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.08.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties.

7. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
