2. When the matters were taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner sought permission of this Court to withdraw these criminal original petitions. An endorsement as regards withdrawal was also made by the learned counsel for the petitioner in these petitions today. However, he submitted that the cases are now posted for complainant's side evidence and therefore, the personal appearance of the petitioner before the trial court may be dispensed with.
3. In view of the above, these criminal original petitions stand dismissed as withdrawn. However, acceding to the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the presence of the petitioner before the trial court is dispensed with, except for receipt of copies, answering the charges, questioning under Section 313 of Cr.P.C. The petitioner shall be duly represented by his counsel before the trial court on all hearing dates and shall appear in person before the trial court, whenever his presence is necessitated by the learned trial Judge for the progress of the trial.
