ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for a Writ of rd respondent to consider the petitioner's online Mandamus to direct the 3 application dated 18.02.2025 and provide electricity service connection to the petitioner's house in Survey No.18/2B1C situated at Vadachettiyanthal Village, Sankarapuram, Kallakurichi District.

2. It is stated that the petitioner had constructed a terraced house in the property situated at the aforementioned place, Kallakurichi District. Subsequently, he applied for an electricity service connection on 18.02.2025 and also paid the prescribed fee on 28.02.2025. Pursuant to the same, the petitioner submitted all the necessary documents as required by the 3 rd respondent, in 2/5

compliance with the proceedings dated 23.07.2025. However, despite such compliance, the petitioner's application for electricity service connection has not been considered by the respondents till date. Aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the authorities, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking appropriate directions.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the petitioner had submitted all the required documents and paid the prescribed fee for obtaining the electricity service connection, the respondents have not considered the petitioner's application. However, he submitted that it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's application dated 18.02.2025, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4. Learned counsel for the respondents submitted that the 3 rd respondent will consider the petitioner's application on merits and in accordance with law.

5. Considering the limited request made by the petitioner, this Court 3/5

directs the 3 rd respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 18.02.2025 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
