Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 to measure and demarcate the petitioner's properties in S.No.1953 measuring an extent of 29 cents and S.No.195-4A measuring extent of 20 Cents situated at Thuraikkadu Panchayat, Muthpettai Taluk, Sembadavankadu, Tiruvarur District and also direct to give adequate police protection by the fourth respondent during the survey and fencing by considering the petitioner's representations dated 01.07.2025. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 01.07.2025 wherein the petitioner is seeking survey of the subject property and demarcation of boundaries.

2. Heard Mr.R.Maheswaran, learned counsel for petitioner, Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.L.Baskaran, learned Government Advocate [crl.side] appearing for fourth respondent.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he is the owner of the subject property by virtue of a sale deed dated 27.02.2018 registered as document No.184/18. The patta stands in the name of the vendor. The petitioner wanted sub-division of the property and issuance of separate patta in his favour. Hence, he submitted an application on 01.07.2025 after paying necessary charges for survey of the subject property and for 2/4

demarcation of boundaries. Since the same was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to respondents 2 and 3 to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 01.07.2025 based on the title document and the patta that stands in the name of the petitioner's vendor. If there are any other interested parties, such survey shall be conducted in their presence. If required, the respondents 2 and 3 shall take assistance of the fourth respondent. This process shall be completed within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
