PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondents 1 to 6 to forthwith cancel all Trade Licences, approvals and permissions granted in favour of respondents 7 to 9 and to seal the premises at Plot Nos.1/6 and 1/7, Bazaar Road, Mogappair East, Zone 7, Ward 93, Chennai-600 037, including in particular the ground floor parking area illegally converted into a Fast Food outlet, Juice Stall, store room, kitchen and toilets, and the other portions misused as a Lodge and Restaurant, which are being operated without lawful authority without a valid rental agreement and without payment of rent to the petitioner. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the official respondents to cancel the trade licences and permissions granted to private respondents; to seal the premises; and to restrain the private respondents from operating the lodge and restaurant without any permission.

2. Learned counsel for the Corporation informs that action has already been initiated against the private respondents and notices have been issued to them.

3. In view of the above statement, it cannot be said that the respondent authorities are not taking any action. Writ petition is, accordingly, closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
