This matter is listed today under the caption " for being mentioned", at the instance of the learned counsel for the petitioner.

2. It is brought to the notice of this court that, while disposing the civil revision petition, this court directed the Trial Court to dispose of the original petition as expeditiously as possible. However, in the last paragraph, it was wrongly mentioned as ' civil revision petition stands dismissed '.

3. Registry is directed to substitute the word " dismissed " in paragraph No.5 of the order dated 31.10.2025 in CRP No.5238 of 2025 with the word " disposed of " and issue fresh order copy.

ORDER

The Civil Revision Petition is filed seeking a direction to VII Additional Family Court, Chennai to dispose of the HMOP.No.2936 of 2020 pending on its file.

2. The petitioner/husband filed a original petition seeking divorce on the ground of cruelty against the respondent/wife. The original petition was filed in the year 2020.

3. A perusal of the adjudication sheet filed in the typed set of papers would indicate that counter of the respondent was filed as early as 01.08.2022. However, there is no progress thereafter. It is stated that the trial in the matter is not yet commenced.

4. Taking into consideration the original petition is of the year 2020, this Court is inclined to direct the learned VII Additional Family Judge, Chennai to dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible.

5. With the above directions, the Civil Revision Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
