Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.07.2025 to take serious steps to clear the encroachment of the 5th respondent's Madhina Masque in the Tamilnadu Government Poramboke land situated in Survey no.4566/1 at Mylapore Chennai in accordance with law. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This Public Interest Litigation has been filed seeking issuance of a direction to the respondents to take action against the 5th respondent on the allegation of encroachment.

2. The 4th respondent, who has to take action, is directed to

enquire into the allegation, if not already enquired into. The 5th respondent shall be given an opportunity of hearing and after considering the materials, including the reply, appropriate decision shall be taken one way or the other, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If a decision has already been taken, this order shall not be treated as a direction for re-enquiry.
