ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to deal with the appeal filed by the petitioner on 13.03.2025 against the proceedings of the fourth respondent and pass orders within a time frame.

2. Heard Dr.R.Gouri, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.S.Rajesh, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the subject property by virtue of a registered sale deed dated 12.11.1986. The petitioner was also holding a patta in his name and was regularly paying the property tax. The petitioner sought for a computer patta from the fourth respondent. In spite of the report submitted by the Revenue Inspector and the Village Administrative Officer confirming that the property in Survey No.76/8B is not covered under the Urban Land Ceiling Act, the fourth respondent through proceedings dated 17.02.2025 rejected the request made by the petitioner for computer patta and held that the land has been categorised as Government Punja. Aggrieved by 2/4

the above order passed by fourth respondent, an appeal was filed by the petitioner before the second respondent on 13.03.2025. Since no action was taken by the second respondent, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to deal with the appeal filed by the petitioner on 13.03.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass final orders within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
