Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st, 2nd and 6th respondents to measure and lay boundary stones after proper survey over the property comprised in S.No.19/1A extent (37 cents) situated at Valapakudi Firka, West Sathanur Post, Thiruvaiyaru Taluk, Thanjavur District by considering the representation made by the petitioner on 7.10.2025.

This writ petition has been filed for issue of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 6 to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 06.10.2025 wherein, the petitioner has sought for survey of the subject property and for laying boundary stones. 2/5
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1, 2, 5 and 6 and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents 3 and 4.
3. The case of the petitioner is that he is the absolute owner of the subject property based on the sale deed dated 27.03.1997. A joint patta was also issued in Patta No.433. The petitioner wanted to survey the subject property and hence, he submitted an application on 06.10.2025 and paid necessary fee. Since there was no progress, the petitioner made a representation dated 07.10.2025 which also did not evoke any response. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition came to be filed before this Court.
4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the respondents 2 and 6 to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 06.10.2025 and complete the survey, based on the title document and the joint patta that was already issued, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The survey shall be conducted in the presence of other joint pattadars.

This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. There shall be no order as to costs.
