ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing third respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 10.07.2025 within a time frame.

2. Heard Mr.D.Nandhagopal, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.P.Ganesan, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner had applied for sub-division and for issuance of separate patta in his name. The petitioner is claiming right and title over the subject property by virtue of two registered settlement deeds dated 07.08.2023 and 20.03.2024. The petitioner submitted an application seeking sub-division and for issuance of separate patta. The application was rejected by fourth respondent by order dated 28.02.2025. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed an appeal before third respondent. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction 2/4

to third respondent to deal with the petitioner's appeal dated 10.07.2025 pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
