ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus seeking for a direction to the first respondent to cancel UDR pattas and subdivisions made in the property more fully described in the prayer to this writ petition within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.The private respondents have been issued UDR pattas and the lands have also been subdivided in their respective names, as seen from the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition. According to the petitioner, illegally the UDR pattas and sub divisions were made in favour of the respective private respondents for the property more fully described in the prayer to this writ petition. The petitioner has given a representation on 15.12.2022 to the first respondent seeking cancellation of the UDR pattas and subdivisions made over the property more fully described in the prayer to this writ petition. Since the representation has not been considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3.Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 3.

4.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation is considered, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections of the private respondents, namely respondents 4 to 9. 5.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the first respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 05.12.2022 seeking for cancellation of the UDR pattas and subdivisions made in the property more fully described in the prayer to this writ petition, after issuing notice to the private respondents, namely, respondents 4 to 9 and any other third party whom the first respondent deems fit to enquire, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of.
