PRAYER :Civil Revision Petition filed Article 227 of Constitution of India, praying, to allow the above Civil Revision Petition by issuing direction to the Principal District and Session Court, Cuddalore to dispose of the I.D.O.P.No.87 of 2025 pending on its file within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The Civil Revision Petition is filed seeking a direction to court below to dispose of the I.D.O.P.No.87 of 2025 pending on the file of Principal District and Session Court, Cuddalore.

2. The petitioner/husband filed a petition for divorce under Section 1/4

10(1)(X) of Indian Divorce Act, 1869 against the respondent/wife. The petition was filed only on 12.06.2025. On the date of first hearing ie., on 19.09.2025, the Court below recorded the undertaking given by one Mr.K.Prabu and adjourned the matter to 28.11.2025 for filing vakalat and counter. At this stage, the petitioner has come before this Court seeking direction to the court below to dispose of the I.D.O.P.No.87 of 2025 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

3. The respondent/wife not even filed a counter in the main original petition. In these circumstances, this Court is not inclined to issue any direction for earlier disposal of the original petition. Accordingly, the civil revision petition stands dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh civil revision petition after substantial progress in the original petition.
