ORDER
The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that this Court, by its order dated 02.01.2025 passed in W.P.No.38214 of 2024, had issued a direction to the respondents to pay 6% interest for the belated payment of terminal benefits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this
order. Pursuant to which, payment was made only on 24.04.2025. This Court further ordered that if the amount was not paid within the time frame fixed by this Court, it will fetch an interest at the rate of 12% per annum. Hence, the present contempt petition has been filed.
2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that interest at 6% on the belayed payment of terminal benefits was paid on or before 24.04.2025.
3. In view of the above, this Court finds that there is no wilful disobedience. Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed. 09-01-2026 Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Internet:Yes uma
