Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st Respondent to consider the representation dated 16.06.2025 seeking for reconsideration of the extent of land acquired in terms of notice bearing Ref.No.Ka.No.345/2024/A4 Mananjeri/L.A dated 03.02.2025 under the Tamil Nadu Highways Act 2001 and additional notice dated 21.02.2025 in respect of acquisition of the property of the petitioner situated on the southern side of the road comprised in Survey No.36 /1A3B situated in Plot No.2, Sri Guruvayurappan Nagar Extension, Manangecheri village, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kanchipuram District, land of an extent of 2414 square-feet comprising of ground +1 floor, in all 3300 square-feet and the plot bearing Patta No.
acquiring the land on both Northern as well as the Southern side of the existing Road from the centreline to prevent disproportionate acquisition only on the southern side.

ORDER
In relation to the proposed acquisition of her land, the petitioner had raised objections as per details set out in para 10 of the affidavit. Since there was no response to the said objections, after submitting representation dated 16.06.2025 seeking reconsideration of the acquisition of the petitioner's land, the present writ petition has been filed.
2. On behalf of the respondents, it is submitted that an award cannot be issued until the objections of the petitioner are considered and an order issued in terms of Section 15(1) of the Tamil Nadu Highways Act, 2001. Therefore, it is also stated that the petitioner's representation would be 3/6
considered and disposed of on merits within three weeks by the 1st and 3rd respondents.
3. By taking note of the above submissions, without making any observations on the merits, this Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the 1st and 3rd respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.06.2025 and pass orders thereof, on merits, within three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner. No costs.
